OVERVIEW OF CLUB

          The Central Golden Retriever Club was formed in 1976 and presently enjoys a membership of over 200.  Based in Wellington, the Club's zone of influence extends south of a line drawn between New Plymouth and Wairoa to Wellington.  Liaison Officers are available in most locations.

 

 

          CLUB OBJECTIVES

          -        To encourage social non-competitive and co-operative contact between Golden Retriever owners and their dogs.

 

          -        To provide advice and support on all aspects of owning a Golden Retriever.

 

          -        To encourage and improve the breeding, type and temperament of the Golden Retriever as set out in the NZKC Standard of the Breed.

 

          -        To encourage all phases of show, field trials, agility and obedience.
